Vibewire’s e-Festival of Ideas this year for the first time is hosting several live events for those of you in Sydney. Mark your calendars and prepare to be inspired.  On Wednesday night we having a “Youthquake” Networking night for young shakers and movers, on Friday we are having a morning dose of rapid fire, caffeine, and conversation. And finally, on Sunday, gather a few friends and come take part in a back-alley Serious Game that will ave you running around finding clues and racing against time. The winning team will recieve vouchers for the 2009 Enterprise Hub Workshop program.

e-FESTIVAL OF IDEAS NETWORKING NIGHT
What     Youthquake – Innovators, creatives, activists & everyone else.  Meet, Drink, Talk.
When    7pm, Wednesday May 6th
Where   Vibewire Enterprise Hub, 525 Harris St, Ultimo NSW

The theme of the evening is YOUTHQUAKE.  Young people are the future, but we’re also the present. Right now, across the globe young people creating & driving movements to make the change they want to see in their communities.

5 young women, 5 youth organisations, will speak for 5 minutes each

e-FESTIVAL OF IDEAS FAST BREAK EVENT
What     5 speakers on the 5 C’s of innovation: Collaboration, Connectivity, Creativity, Commercialisation & Conversation.  Also available on U-Stream & Twitter.
When    8am to 10am, Friday 8th of May
Where  Vibewire Enterprise Hub,  525 Harris St, Ultimo

The FastBREAK event features 5 of Australia’s sharpest young innovators speaking on “the single biggest challenge of innovation”.

The starting point is the Australian Innovation Festival’s Four “C”s of Innovation – Creativity, Commercialisation, Collaboration & Connection. We are adding a Fifth C – Conversation.

The speakers will each speak for 4 minutes, and then join the conversation with whoever inspired, irked or interested you the most.

e-FESTIVAL OF IDEAS SERIOUS GAME
What     The e-Festival Serious Games is a treasure hunt played throughout the city using technology to collect items.  Players will challenge their perspective on e-Festival topics.
When    1 – 5pm, Sunday 10th of May. Registration from 1 – 2pm.
Where:   Start at Vibewire Enterprise Hub,  525 Harris St, Ultimo

Called ‘A Race Against Time’, this game is a treasure hunt played across Ultimo.  Starting from the Vibewire Enterprise Hub at 525 Harris st, Ultimo, this Game will be held on Sunday, 10th of May from 2 – 5pm.

“Its May 10, 2025. The world is in turmoil. We know that there were opportunities to stop this happening back in 2009. What we don’t understand is exactly what these things were.
You have been chosen to research some of the things that led to the demise of society.

You have been chosen to locate these trends and events and help us change the direction of sydney. Watch out for the spies located around the city.

The countdown begins.”

Bring a team of 3 – 5 people, mobiles, a digital camera and get ready to race!
