fastBREAK: U-Turn
Here’s a little snippet of what to expect… Enjoy!
Change can be good or bad, it depends on what kind of attitude you approach it with. With a new year comes new resolutions and fastBREAK’s (official) inaugural return for 2012 starts with “U-Turn”, an insight into five individuals who have transformed their careers and henceforth, their lives.
Although life isn’t a drama television show, with so many things happening around us everyday, sometimes it can become very dramatic. Altering your projected future plans can accumulate in a lot stress and opposition from various aspects of your life. Most of these changes are for the better, sometimes for the worst. Either way life goes on and we achieve what we can.
On Friday 24th February at 7:45am at the Powerhouse Museum, breakfast will be served along with a taste of how different life can be for those who tempt fate. The challenges, experiences and signposts of change will be put forth by our keynote speakers.

fastBREAK is a monthly series of rapid-fire interactive talks held on the last Friday of each month from 7:45-9:00am. Each event has five young industry leaders from various sectors exploring the question or topic of the month. These five minute responses circle around the themes of creativity, commercialisation, collaboration, connections and conversation.
Following the presentations, our speakers are invited to have breakfast (many thanks to Black Star Pastry) with the audience. This will give you time to interact and converse with all the speakers as well as other attendees. Having these conversations is a great opportunity to meet new working professionals from various industries and connect with networks of corporate and non-profit organisations. This program as has many great successes and is a creative platform for participatory and multi-disciplinary insights into projects and individuals.
