Running as a pilot program through October 2016, #StartupSundays is an open networking and mentoring event hosted by Vibewire. For Sunday, 23 October 2016 from 9:30am-midday, one of our mentors is Claudia Barriga-Larriviere.
A little about Claudia:
“Startups are businesses at their most vulnerable and uncertain stage. We all forget that a startup is run by people who are invested in an outcome broader than their roles, broader than themselves. They have taken an enormous risk that needs to pay off, one way or another. My job is to make sure that we see them through the changes and that founders don’t lose sight of the final destination.”
A Pollenizer alumni, Claudia Barriga-Larriviere is a surgeon when it comes to startup strategy and getting the right team in the early stages of a business. She is an innovation strategist and change management expert and works with startup founders, primarily in the B2B space.
Named one of Sydney’s top ten startup mentors, Claudia is a growth advisor with a passion for innovative collaboration. Claudia specialises in taking companies through change, helping them grow, and making sure they come out stronger on the other end.
CBL is also a huge supporter of the Social Enterprise space having been heavily involved in Project Futures and TedX Sydney. She is the Dean of the Awesome Foundation in Sydney and is a pro bono business mentor for startups and emerging businesses across Australia. Claudia is an innovation columnist for the Startup Daily with a focus on the human side of startups and innovation.
Currently, Claudia is the Entrepreneur in Residence for the ABC (Technology).
Be sure to book in for a session with Claudia.
The non-profit youth org saw Lucy take a swing at every curve ball, including Communications, Human Resources, Editing, Design and Business Development. In the last year she has settled down as one of Vibewire's Online Community Managers, loving the close contact she has with Vibewire's supporters on Facebook (link).
Academically, Lucy has dabbled in a variety of fields, including Literature, History, Arts and finally finding her place in a degree of Media and Communications at Sydney University.
When she isn't rolling with the Communications Team at Vibewire, you'll find her pointing her SLR at beautiful landscapes, break-dancing in her living room, and wine-tasting at her birthplace.
