Jeremy Osborne
After spending the first 10 years of his life growing up on a farm which had no electrical grid and which was completely reliant on a solar panel generator, Jeremy Osborne went on to study Renewable Energy Engineering at UNSW and became an expert in solar energy. Jeremy’s highly sought after expertise has taken him around the world. He recently returned from living in Texas where he worked at Solar San Antonio, a not-for-profit solar energy innovator. Currently, Jeremy is working as a consultant for Solem Consulting, an International Consortium of Expert Engineers. Through his work Jeremy aims to change the supply and use of the world’s energy by designing solar thermal systems and finding innovative uses for solar energy.
Rupal Ismin
Rupal left a vibrant career in digital advertising to pursue her current project – Andable. She was inspired to begin Andable after attending a microloan conference and also noticing a growing, but relatively untouched, segment for e-commerce in Australia. The product of these two ideas was Andable – a conscientious online marketplace where 10% of the profits go towards funding a small business that is run by a person in need. As a conscientious consumer herself, Rupal wanted to establish a marketplace for unique merchants that would allow small businesses to get their products and their stories out. She is passionate about philanthrocapitalism and social enterprise.
Melissa Dean
Originally hailing from Canada, Melissa moved to Australia nine years ago to continue her successful career in advertising. Having worked in the advertising industry for over 14 years and for major businesses such as Ninemsn, Melissa brings a wealth of experience to her current project. Melissa is now working as a partner in Andable – an online marketplace for unique merchants where 10% of the profits go towards funding small businesses run by people in need.
Eleanor Bucher
Eleanor is the Events and Partnerships Manager of Cineclub, a company that provides a network for young filmmakers, teaching young people to script, shoot and edit their own short films. With a degree in production, Eleanor has utilized her skills into two documentaries on the AIDS crisis in South Africa and the political life of Anne Boleyn. Originally from the UK, Eleanor is providing support and assistance to Cineclub’s increasing membership network in Australia.
Jeroen Van Kernebeek
Jeroen is a senior campaigner with Animals Australia. Originally from theNetherlands, Jeroen moved to Australia three years ago and is passionate about protecting animals. Through his work at Animals Australia, Jeroen participated in such projects as campaigning against live cattle exports, and in such projects as campaigning against live cattle exports, and has worked with the Four Corners program to expose mistreatment of cattle in live export shipments.
Jeroen’s dream is to live in a world where animals are treated with kindness and respect.
Dominic Greenwood
25-year-old Greenwood is the entrepreneur behind the live music organization, Major Raiser. Major Raiser events can be counted for a stellar lineup of emerging Australian artists at a slick venue decked out with the thought provoking art installations. But what really sets Major Events apart from other gigs is that all proceeds towards a charitable organization chosen specifically by Major Raiser because of their relevance to young people.
Julia Scott-Stevenson
Julia is an avid freelance documentarian who has traveled far and wide to help tell the stories of the unnoticed corners of society. She has recently been undertaking a PhD researching cross-platform documentary and is currently working on a project for the Red Cross.
Kamil Kowowski
Kamil is a freelance Information Technology consultant for corporations in Sydney. He moved to Australia in March not for work, but to explore- driven by curiosity not ambition.

Danielle Lauren
Danielle is the creative director of the 11 Eleven Project that aims to unite the world on 11/11/11. The 11 Eleven Projects seeks to dive into as many lives as possible by inviting all to contribute on the day by sending in any artifact captured by any medium, be it video, photograph or sound file that reveals to some extent the day in the life of their world.
Matt Hughes
Matt Hughes is the co-founder of ‘infullview’ that launched in October 2011 targeting the global interview market. Infullview allow users to create video interviews of themselves for meeting the needs of job application or first interview, incorporating non-live video. The infullview app team also includes cofounders Patrick and Raphael.
Joy Suliman
Joy is the cousultant for Refugee Buddy, a project that aims to, “ create innovative and engaging learning, training and public programs using digital technology and social media.” Joy plans to achieve this goal by connecting new refugees with local individuals that are of similar age and share similar interests to aid in the arrival and settling in stages of being a refugee.
Mark Tipple
Mark is the Co-founder of Gallery for Justice, which “empowers story telling through fine art prints documenting social justice issues.” Gallery for Justice, launched August 2010 seeking to address harsh reality by operating outside standard media ‘newsworthiness’ criteria in vivid, socially grounded fashion: an artistic combination of photography and articles- the organization unique product.
